Cerveceria El Callejon - San Juan

Cannot recommend this place even after I ordered two food options vegan and they served me pork dumplings. My husband immediately came to complain and they said, "It wasn't her fault." Absolutely disgusting. This is the first star review I have ever left on Happy Cow.

I love beer and consider myself a connoisseur. The beer here is all right, has the underlying sweetheart that has housebread beer. The food, although few vegan options, is very delicious. I asked the pubs dumplings to be made vegan, the cook was happy to do as they are made fresh to order. He used a mushroom broth to cook them so comfortably!

Vegan options available to have besides your drink. Great place to hang out. Only one option is clearly identified as vegan, but waiters know enough to clarify that there are more options.

This place was a gem!! I’m not sure if this is the current name- but the address is right- a brewery and restaurant paired up to make awesome beer and food. It’s tucked away down an alley, really funky fun cool vibe and bar. I can highly recommend the food and would go back again if I was still in San Juan. (Considered getting take out for the following day. Reasonable prices and they clearly put a lot of thought effort into their food and food presentation. It was family friendly with a big projector playing old animated shorts. Finally, there was a great friendly server/ (owners? who were more than happy to explain options.

The staff fully understood veganism, the menu clearly marked. I had the veggie mandu and cucumber salad with tofu, both delicious. They went great with my beer.
