Bidrage med feedbackThe fried chicken bites were really delicious. I wish they offered yellow rice, but the white rice and beans were enjoyable. I liked the outdoor seating and had a great time on Friday night watching the street dancing.
This place is right at La Placita Plaza -this plaza comes to life after 9 PM and the bar/restaurant gets filled quickly. we looked for someplace on the web and found this. Right at end of the corner, is a small restaurant with outdoor seating. We ordered- Alcapurria Jueyes- looks like a corndog, made with plantains and yucca and then filled with ground beef/Pork/Chicken and fried it was good- 4/5 Chicharrones De Pollo Fried Chicken piece with Salad Piece were overcooked and very hard so I had only salad 2/5 The portions are generous and the flavor is on point. service was not that great (i guess the situation is the same everywhere due to covid). Well priced considering portions and quality.
The best fried amarillos I had in the Caribbean. the arepas de coco tasted as delicious as a bake. popular place, I was ready to wait 20 minutes because the menu saw chalk full of puerto rican specialties.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. I apologize for not having any pictures of the food, but the prices here are unbeatable. I tried the bistec ecebollado (steak sautéed in onions) and it was better than any other version I have had before. The mofongo was also delicious, especially when immersed in the broth. The masitas de dorado were fresh and perfectly fried in bite-sized pieces. The sweet plantains were cooked just the way I like them - soft, sweet, and slightly caramelized. Our bill came out to be $11.50 each and we left feeling completely satisfied as the portions were generous. It was a great value at $50 for two people. Our waitress, Sonya, provided excellent service.
This restaurant serves delicious Puerto Rican food. Their alcapurrias are the best! All dishes are made to order, perfect for those who love fried foods. You can enjoy an ice-cold Medalla beer while waiting for your meal. It's best to avoid going there early in the afternoon, as parking can be a challenge. Overall, highly recommended.
