Lugareno Cocina - San José del Cabo

Just spent a week in Cabos San Jose and enjoyed every meal at several different restaurants. However, the experience, the food and the service at Lugareno Cocina was unmatched. This quaint out of the way gem ( next to Hyatt Place) had a very unique and creative dinner menu and each course was served on different local made dinnerware.Our waiter, Alejandro, could not have been more gracious, accommodating and attentive. I returned for breakfast and was even more impressed. I didn't think bacon and eggs could be so delicious. And, our waiter, Roberto, was so charming and informative, telling local stories and stories of other places in Mexico. Before I leave tomorrow I'm going back for one more fabulous "experience".

My wife, teenage daughter, her boyfriend and I stopped by the restaurant for lunch after experiencing a great dolphin experience nearby. The ambiance sets the tone that you are somewhere special surrounded by artistry of various forms. Brunch was the best we had in San Jose - the French toast is sinful but not heavy, fruit and yogurt so fresh and flavorful and their hamburgers cooked just right! Try their hibiscus mojitos for something unique and refreshing! Can't wait to return.

Every time we go to San Jose, we stop here right away to say hello to Rodolfo! He is a chef and runs the bar and the restaurant. The food is 5 star and not expensive. Delicious and picture worthy! The cocktails are amazing and the patio and location make you want to have as your back yard. We LOVE this place:)

The food and service was great. The fish and shrimp tacos are awesome. Small selection of craft beers, but the ones they have are very good. The view from te terrace is very nice.

Very interesting interior square with outdoor seating. Great margarita and beer selection. Went 3 times during our 2 week stay and each time was great.
