Chato's Burger - San José del Cabo

Really great food and presentation, my husband had the lobster taco special and it was very good, the civetchie looked amazing coming out of the kitchen, they have free WIFI connection, friendly staff, and special margarita was delicious, made with the good tequila. Take the bus for 2.00 to get here, it is worth the trip cute town as well.

We always make this one of our go to stops. This was our 23 trip to San Jose and this has become one of our favorite stops. try the chili relenos! Great staff, family run, just an all around nice place to eat and visit

Steve and I went for breakfast and enjoyed the food as well as the service provided by David and the rest of the staff. They were helpful with driving directions and answered other questions about San Jose and La Paz. To be expected, it was very hot, and when I commented, David immediately directed the fan on us. When I asked about purchasing some of the yummy salsa, the staff provided a jar and presented it to us as a gift. This is a great place for a drink, food and conversation with really nice people. I first happened upon this restaurant during a trip to San Jose del Cabo in 2016. We were out for the day walking around and enjoying the sites, people and many flavors of this small town. We had eaten at another restaurant for lunch and decided to try this place for an early dinner. The seafood was fresh, tasty and priced reasonably. We were staying at an all-inclusive property but returned here twice during our trip because of the seafood. This year we returned to San Jose and again to this restaurant. We were not disappointed. There was construction taking place just outside of the restaurant so it was not crowded. We sat inside and feasted on Camarones y ceviche de pescado and Mariscos molcajete. Topped off with cerveza fria. The owner, Malaquias Cuervo, was very friendly and willing to made sure that everything was to our liking. I highly recommend this restaurant. Don't let the size and location deter you. We ate at other, more upscale looking restaurants in 2016, but non compared to taste and price. This is a good bargain for your money.
