Bidrage med feedbackSo glad we had lunch here based on others reviews. I was floored by the number of gluten free options. My dish Korean japchae with vegetables and tofu was delicious. We sat in the garden room which was very pretty.
We went to Tin Jo for lunch upon arriving in San Jose for the last leg of our trip. Our 10 year old twins are recently diagnosed celiac, so we are still learning to navigate all this, especially travel. Tin Jo delighted all the adults in our group it's a fantastic restaurant and everything was incredibly delicious. If you are an adult traveling with celiac or have an adventurous kid, don't hesitate! It was a little tricky for our kids though, who are celiac and ALSO pretty picky. They ordered a fried sweet and sour fish with rice at the suggestion of the waiter, and while it was phenomenal, it was unfamiliar and they only picked at it. In general, traveling in Costa Rica with celiac as an adult or adventurous eating kid would be easy, but we had a very hard time feeding our not so adventurous kids throughout our trip. Tin Jo was no exception, but the food for the adults was worth the struggle!
This place is incredible. The atmosphere is amazing- it was a gigantic building with multiple different rooms, all decorated differently. The service was excellent and everyone was knowledgeable. They have a separate kitchen that is dedicated gluten free and every dish comes out with a little gf sticker. I had the sizzling rice with chicken and it was delicious. We even got a free appetizer and dessert! I highly recommend coming here- it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a safe meal.
Phenomenal service, phenomenal food. They have a huge gluten free menu to choose from. I went back 3 times while I was in San Jose visiting my parents and they ate gluten free so that I could try their dishes too. We shared about 12 different dishes in total and every single thing was absolutely delicious. You can't go wrong here! While *technically* not dedicated gluten free, they actually have a completely separate gluten free kitchen and food is brought out with little GF stickers on the plates to differentiate any gluten free dishes and prevent any accidental mix-ups. I am very sensitive and didn't have issues any of the times I went. It's incredibly well run and was packed every time I went, even in arguably "off-peak" hours, which should speak to its local popularity. Definitely one of my top favourite gluten free restaurants I've been to! Highly recommend!
Great service no reaction to the palak paneer dish. Very sweet staff!
