Hand pours are a great option also, each roast has a custom timed pour, if your into that kinda thing. Support local!
Amazing coffee shop. The most amazing atmosphere, sophisticated design, lots of room, small details, nice restrooms, really friendly baristas, and amazing coffee. Oh, and they have oatmilk:
I came here to look for a fun place to work from and saw that this place has the highest reviews, so I gave it a shot! There's a building parking but I found a few meter parking on the same block. I'm so glad I read a few of the reviews before coming in because I would not have been able to spot this place right away. I entered through the market and saw there were lots of different type of food, I was a little worried there was no place to work since it looked like everyone was eating. At the end of the building, I saw a small opening that took me to B2. It looks like a large start up cafeteria! Looking at the menu, everything seemed very basic. I asked what their specials were and they said latte. I ordered the Chai Tea Latte and it was a little sweet for me. I'd recommend getting not to go because it comes in a large mug and is good for pictures! I was going to order a chocolate croissant but it seemed really small so I got a regular croissant (they can't heat it up for you.. Overall, great place to work since there's so many different types of tables (couches, long table, bar table, circle table, outdoor seating, etc and there's free wifi, but the food and drinks are very basic. What's great is that you can get food from the market and bring it in!
We had a latte and some of their pastry. The latte was good, but not as 'full body ' as I would have liked. The milk can be steamed with a little more air. It was a little on the weak side as well. As for the pastry, they have them delivered every morning, so they are definitely fresh. It 's not spectacular quality wise. The croissant I had was fairly standard, not buttery or flakey. Not bad, but not great. Overall B2 is a good option in downtown San Jose, and a great alternative to chains.
The restaurant is spacious with plenty of natural light, the staff is friendly, the coffee and tea menu is simple and easy to navigate, and the bathroom is clean.
