Umai Savory Hot Dogs - San Jose

I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant by chance, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was! The menu had a unique variety of options, so I decided to try the Tijuana wonton appetizer. I couldn't quite identify all the ingredients, but I think there was cream cheese and maybe bacon in them. Regardless, they were quite tasty. I had the choice of sauces and opted for the dynamite sauce and cilantro lime. The dynamite sauce wasn't as spicy as I had hoped, but the cilantro lime paired well with the wontons. For my main dish, I ordered the Kyoto fire hot dog, which was presented beautifully and tasted great. The bun was fresh and perfectly toasted, although I wished it had been spicier. I was disappointed that I didn't notice they had my favorite drink, ace hard pineapple cider, on tap earlier. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. I definitely recommend giving this place a try, and I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu!

I always have a great experience at this restaurant. A friend recommended it to me, and now it's one of my favorite spots to dine. The Umai Truffle Dog is a must-have for me, as every bite is bursting with flavor! I love mushrooms, and they are cooked perfectly here, especially with the aioli and teriyaki sauce which took it to a whole new level. The Angus beef hot dog is top-notch quality. In my opinion, everything about this hot dog is perfect. I would rate it 10/10.

I am thrilled that I discovered this restaurant. I was extremely pleased with the delicious flavors of the food. The hot dogs are phenomenal, as are the mozzarella sticks. The portion of fries was larger than I anticipated and came with a generous amount of bacon. I will definitely return to try new items on the menu, and I highly recommend their gourmet hot dogs to everyone.

Service was exceptional. Seasond fries were perfectly done. Ordered the Tokyo signature dog. Came out fast. Looked amazing tasted just as expected. Will definitely go back.

Just tried this hole in the wall place by chance and it was delicious! The change looked interesting so I let it go. I ordered the Tijuana Lampton remover. I'm not sure what was in them next to cream cheese, maybe I think bacon? Either they were pretty tasty. You can choose sauces so I have dynamite sauce and Zilantro-Calc. Was not a big fan of dynamite sauce as I thought it was spicier, but the Zilantro range was pretty good for this. I ordered the Kyoto Fire Hot Dog. As you can see on the picture, the presentation was well done and not just as some places were thrown together. Flavor was good and bungalow was fresh and perfectly roasted. My only complaint would be that it was not spicy enough, but apparently I have a high tolerance for spices! I was kind of cheated that I didn't notice before that she had a hard pineapple cider on ****, that's my Fave! Girl who helped me was nice too, restaurant was clean. I would definitely recommend trying this place, I know I plan to go back to try something new!
