Le Boulanger - San Jose

I always visit this eatery when I am in the Evergreen area. I am impressed with the quality of food and the excellent customer service that is demonstrated by the staff. The manager, Suki is professional and very engaging and always remembers the way I like my sandwiches prepared. Her customer service skills excel and it is because of this type of service that I keep going back to this place. Keep up the good work Suki and staff!

The bakery and sandwich shop has amazing options including sourdough bread, coffee, pastries, and more. The staff was friendly and sliced the delicious sourdough bread for us. The texture and crunch of the medium roasted bread were fantastic. We tried it with various spreads such as hummus, butter and honey, butter and strawberry jam, and a spicy homemade spread with raw green mango, green chilies, and spices, as well as with soupy liquid. The taste was outstanding in each combination. The bread paired well with different spreads and soups. We also tried a veggie sandwich that was delicious. Overall, a great experience at this restaurant.

The service was excellent. I arrived at 11am and they were already sold out of their French loaves. However, the food was delicious. It is unfortunate that there are not many locations remaining, but this particular one was exceptional.

My family ordered takeout from this restaurant for lunch. It is a frequent choice for takeout and now I understand why. I don't remember everyone's order exactly, but I got the specialty chicken pesto sandwich and it was amazing. I enjoyed every bite of it. It was quite filling, so I only ate half for lunch and saved the rest for an evening snack. I will definitely return in the future to try more of their sandwiches.
