Bidrage med feedbackA wonderful little French café in downtown San Jose. My friend was here twice now and both times it was amazing. I order breakfast croissant sandwich and a latte simple and amazing a must try safe and one of a kind in California.
Very pleasantly surprised to find a freshly baked pastry shop still active in downtown San Jose! I absolutely melt over a good almond croissant and theirs is no exception. Fully covered with slivered almonds and I?m pretty sure there was a bit of chocolate inside, too. With a cup of coffee you will be in heaven. Next time I will try to get there well before 20 minutes before close and check out the rest of their selection! There was outdoor seating in the alleyway where you could get some fresh air, too. PS, nice to see a place with a grammatically correct foreign name! Feminine adjectives add an e in French so this place is ? in my book on that alone ?
A delicious sweet treat before class! Loved it! Warm, fresh, and so tasty!
The name and ambience of the shop gives the impression of a nice brunchery, the prices on the surface seem reasonable, and the service is very polite. I don?t know about the other dishes, my companion said he enjoyed the queiche, although it was not the best. The crepe of Sweden was my order and I have a few comments. The meal was very obviously premade and reheated, possibly previously frozen, the chicken was very dry and had no flavor, the mushroom filling was flavorful but not nearly enough of it, and the exterior sauce was very lite, so they were not able to improve where the chicken was lacking. I feel they missed the mark on this dish, but have plenty of real options to improve it. The crepe itself unfortunately was heavy and undercooked. The dish is a good idea, just poorly executed. I hope they take this more as advice on improvement, I think they could really shine, and have a great idea.
In A Nutshell: -La Lune Sucree aka The Sweet Moon is a great place to grab some breakfast. -The little outdoor patio parallel to the Paseo de San Antonio makes for a picture perfect scene reminiscent your favorite arrondissement in Paris. -Now to the food, if you like crepes theres plenty choices here. -Their avocado toast is delicious along w/ their Breakfast Bendict. -They also love dogs here while we were dining they offered to give our dog some chicken..how awesome is that! Overall, this a nice taste of France right here in DTSJ (Downtown San Jose)!
