Bidrage med feedbackI was recommended this out of the way restauant by the hotel where i was staying in san giovanni rotondo, i would never have found it if i was not told about it and i am delighted to say that i went two nights in a row the staff were amazing and the owner michele and his brother are perfect hosts and each night i felt special the food is of a quality and variety that only a chef of high standard could create, their speciality is fish and you can eat a really beautiful meal for an amazing price, we had the housewine twice but they hAve a list of wines and also a pizza menue that gives you a sense that even the most discerning of diners or the young man who wants to impress his new girlfriend could afford to eat at a budget or at a high cost it depends on what you eat, but whatever it is, I CAN GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL COME OUT WANTING TO RETURN. What can i say, we entered as diners, we left as friends and that is the same for all who eat at the chalet, i cannot wait to return, i live in milan and it is far away but as soon as i am in puglia again i will come and dine, thanks for a lovely evening, Rita and Gennaro
The place is truly rustic and wonderful, the service belongs in at least a 2 Michelin star restaurant in Rome or Milan, but the food was average at best. The mixed fish platter was rather small for the price and the fish wasn't exactly fresh caught, the pizza was pretty stodgy although it had ample mozzarella on it, and the antipasti were meagre at best. Considering that they charge fairly hefty prices, you would expect the food to be much better. However, since San Giovanni Rotondo rolls up the sidewalks in October and the vast majority of ALL the places seal up tight for the winter, this was the best place that was actually OPEN.
The bread was fantastic. We asked for olive oil to dip our bread in. They grilled Italian Sausage for us as our second. We both had pasta as our first!! Very good. Great staff!!
Ci hanno indirizzato in questo ristorante dei tassisti dicendo che era vicino al santuario...ma fare circa MT sotto il sole d agosto non è stato piacevole.siamo stati accolti in maniera molto professionale e la sala era molto bella. Abbiamo preso un mini antipasto di terra due primi e due dolci, da bere una bottiglia di acqua una coca cola e mezzo litro di vino della casa. Due caffè un amaro. Abbiamo speso per me un po' troppo visto che antipasto e primi non arrivavano a spendere del resto mi sembra un po'troppo. Devo dire comunque che abbiamo mangiato molto bene e i camerieri erano molto professionali.
Sono stato con mia moglie a pranzo in questo ristorante. Abbiamo ordinato antipasti caldi e freddi di pesce, tutto buono a parte un errore sui freddi, nonostante la buona preparazione sono risultati un po salati. Grigliata di pesce veramente buonissima. Prezzo più o meno giusto, poteva starci anche qualche euro inmeno. antipasti completi, una grigliata, acque, boccali di vino bianco e dolci a euro. Personale cortese. Peccato non ci sono i mezzi pallini, altrimenti gliene avrei dato e mezzo.
