Saigons Flavor - San Gabriel

This place is on par with Golden Deli. I've started coming here instead because I don't have to wait an hour, and finding parking is a breeze. The service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly.

If you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese dining experience, start with broken rice as your base, rather than Chinese rice or sticky rice. Pair it with a side of egg pancake for a great beginning. Then, add some pork noodles, marinated pork, and shrimp. Typically, you'll find a variety of 5 to 8 items on your plate. The restaurant is very clean, and although most of the staff may not speak English, they are courteous and provide generous portions. I enjoyed a green drink made from pennywort, which is excellent for managing high blood pressure and diabetes. My entire lunch cost just $8, plus $2.50 for the drink. Supporting local businesses is important, and this place is truly a gem. Enjoy!

This is a great place for Vietnamese cuisine. It's quite popular, and I haven't had a bad meal here yet. They also serve traditional Vietnamese iced coffee, which is fantastic.

They have the best eggrolls here!!!! Make sure u get them!

Considering this place is in my area, I never actually stopped by to try their food. Well, finally, I grabbed lunch here with a few friends. Parking is located in the back down a short driveway; spots are limited, but there were plenty available when we arrived. Once you walk into the restaurant, we were immediately greeted and shown to our table. The waitress who took our order was very nice and had a friendly attitude. The decor surrounding the place was also nice as it had lots of artwork and there was one of a huge waterfall; very pretty. The restrooms are clearly marked and located towards the back of the restaurant. Food came fairly quickly for us. I ordered 44A which was the Shrimp Paste and Grilled Pork Egg Roll with Rice Vermicelli; it's also served with a side dish of fish sauce. It was pretty good and the Egg Rolls were nice and crunchy. The bed of veggies underneath the noodles were crisp and refreshing. Overall, the food was refreshing. I think I'll try their pho the next time I come.
