Upcider - San Francisco

Upcider is fantastic! They have an impressive selection of ciders, delicious food (the flatbreads are particularly great), and a wonderful second-floor seating area with a nice corner view. It's one of my favorite spots in the city. I noticed they didn't post any information about being closed for vacation, so I asked the waitress at the bar downstairs for details. It seems they will be reopening in a couple of weeks. An update on their website or social media would definitely be appreciated. UPDATE: A bit late on this, but they are officially back open as of November 2022.

Review from 2018: Upcider offers a distinctive experience, focusing primarily on ciders on tap while also providing a selection of bottled beers. The atmosphere is quite appealing, with the bar situated on the second floor of a building at the corner of Polk Street. On bustling Friday or Saturday nights, you can enjoy a great view of the lively crowd along Polk Street. Their food menu features a few items as well; we tried the sweet potato fries and the charcuterie plate.

This restaurant has a pleasant second-floor location featuring large glass walls, which makes it ideal for people-watching in the city. They offer an excellent selection of ciders and typically have a relaxed atmosphere, as it’s usually not very crowded. The staff is friendly, and the buffalo fries are quite tasty.

My boyfriend and I took a trip to SF this past weekend. Upcider was the first place we went upon arrival. All the food we ate- buffalo fries, mushroom flatbread and Mac n cheese were amazing. The staff was awesome and so helpful when trying to figure out which cider to order. I loved it so much we went back a second time during our short trip- this time we got the sweet potato fries with blueberry ketchup and the meatballs. All amazing as well. If a place like this opened up in NY I would be in trouble and if I ever have the opportunity to travel to San Francisco again- I guarantee you will find me here. I have never seen a place with so many ciders to chose from. 100% RECOMMEND!!
