Tandoori Mahal Financial District

This restaurant experience was absolutely dreadful. I had made a reservation through Open Table, which was confirmed, but upon arrival, I was told that they were not taking customers that night due to a tour group being in. I inquired about getting takeout instead, and was instructed to come back in 20 minutes. I left my number for a call when the order was ready, but never received one. I returned an hour later, only to wait an additional 10 minutes for my order to be prepared. When I finally got the food home, it was not only terrible but also incorrect. It was a very disappointing evening that could have easily been avoided if Open Table had not allowed me to make a reservation for that particular night.

We were a group of 12 people who arrived at the restaurant. We noticed that the carpets were dirty and the lunch buffet was being taken down during dinner time, leading to a messy area. When we requested ice water, we were informed that they had run out of ice. The bathrooms were also dirty. Ultimately, we decided to leave as we were not satisfied with the service and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. I would not recommend dining there, as the service was poor and the ambiance was even worse.

This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I can recall. We placed our order, but waited nearly an hour to be served. Half of our dishes were forgotten, and the staff claimed that our orderer had not specified the full range of items (even though it was only 8pm). The chicken was tough and inedible, and when we asked for replacements, they never arrived. To top it off, they asked us to write down our credit card information because their machine was broken. Overall, it was a terribly comical evening at this restaurant, and I strongly advise against dining there.

We had the lamb jalafrezi and lamb vindaloo- both were fragrant and tasty. Service was attentive we truly enjoyed our time there!

The bus gentleman put his hands down his pants before taking our dishes to package for take out completely appalled and will never come back or recommend!!!
