Bidrage med feedbackA trusted foodie friend introduced me to this hidden gem in Potrero Hill recently, and I can’t wait to go back – often. The space is modern and intimate, and the cuisine (fresh seafood with a hint of Japanese fusion) is simply amazing. I love that that this restaurant is so accessible and unpretentious, and yet the food and service are so top-notch. Added bonus – Skool is great at doing promotions on twitter and Facebook, so there’s almost always a free drink or discount available if you look for it.
If this is what school was really like, take me back! There was 2 things I knew I had to get the Uni Flan and the Squid Ink Pasta. I came here with my sister and we were super excited to try those two items since we love uni and we love squid ink. We started with the uni flan and liked it, but wasn't what we expected. Aside from the fresh pieces of delicious uni on top, we thought that the flan part would taste more like uni. Nevertheless, it was still good especially on top of the crunchy bread crackers and also with the saltiness of the fish roe. It was a great starter. Then we got the squid ink pasta. I thought it could have tasted a little more like squid ink, but the broth was amazing! They were generous with the portion of the seafood as well and you can bet that we both slurped up the last drop of our soup. Overall, it was a great meal, nice place (with a cool patio if it was warmer) and friendly staff.
Delicious small plates. Uni flan and the monkfish liver are a must try. Mussels are delicious too, but their portion is too big for 2 people. Easy parking and great service!
Great spot for brunch or dinner. Nice, heated, dog-friendly outdoor patio. I highly recommend their **** Mary my fave dish I order every single time I go is the Squid Ink Spaghettina! The broth is so delicious! We also love the bread yummy seaweed butter and they always have a yummy poke on the menu. Added Bonus: There's always plenty of street parking nearby (just be smart and don't leave anything visible in the car! Definitely give this place a try!
Service and food was great. Be aware that happy hour pricing on some items is just the quantity halved for half the price, which they also didn't tell us so we were awkwardly splitting the bites. Had dinner here afterwards, spaghettina and risotto were spot on.
