Bidrage med feedbackGet by the unprepossessing exterior and neighborhood in transition the food here is great! Dishes we had had before cooked perfectly, interesting new approach on some. We wil be back!
We dined on a Saturday evening when the restaurant was about half filled. There was only one hostess-server on duty who did her best to keep things moving, but the food arrived in reverse order from what we expected (main dishes first, then pot sticker appetizers; the soup orders were forgotten completely). The food quality was good, but we are unlikely to return.
Surprised ThIs place was on Open Table. Only restaurant In Neighborhood, we took a cab and felt stuck after cab left. We were only diners at 8 pm Sat night. Service great, but for SF, not a china town experience. Food undercooked in retrospect making one of us have to cxl rest of evenings plans.
I had a couple of friends who flew in for the weekend to see the city. They were staying near the civic center and this restaurant had good reviews so I decided to make a reservation. Since it was the weekend it seemed like a reservation was not necessary. The place is not too big, around 20 tables. It was not crowded for dinner on a Saturday there was a couple (most probably tourists), a group of men having beers and watching the pre season football game (they actually provided a lively atmosphere), and a family. The walnut shrimp and chow fun were good; the mongolian beef had a lot of beef; spicy green beans was great too; and they also have brown rice in the menu. Service was fast. No complaints on the food, will eat there again.
Good place to have a meal before the Symphony or after a visit to the Asian museum. The food is very well prepared and the staff is friendly and helpful. Neighborhood is run down but close to Civic Center. Very reasonable prices.
