Cafe Madeleine - San Francisco

This vibrant and inviting pastry shop and café is conveniently situated near Union Square and the Powell BART station. It offers a lovely selection of classic European-style cakes and pastries. I tried the marjolaine, an exquisite treat made with layered hazelnut meringue, vanilla buttercream, and bittersweet chocolate. There are a few tables with chairs out front, perfect for those rare warm days when you can enjoy sitting outside and unwinding.

Café Madeleine is a solid coffee shop located just off Union Square, offering a variety of pastries and lunch options. As a local, I tend to favor some of the higher-end coffee shops in the area that take their craft more seriously, especially since they offer similar prices. I particularly enjoy places like Bluestone Lane and Coffee Bar. However, one standout feature of Café Madeleine is their fantastic hot coffee cups!

The pastries are stunning and incredibly tasty! The service is excellent and swift.

Nice small cafe , nice coffee , and I love tomato soup and tuna sandwich with cheese, other are some more foods and nice desserts, normal drinks , customer service good and better

I get off the bus right outside and grab coffee daily. Staff is super nice and always welcoming. Coffee is great and so are the croissants and quiche. Fun atmosphere and I look forward to it every morning.
