Yanni's Grill - San Diego

Visiting Yanni's is always a delight! I've mostly dined here in large groups for various celebrations, and the staff always manages everything perfectly. The owners are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. While I've only tried a few different dishes, the food is consistently excellent, especially with the complimentary bread and oil. The relatively new outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying a sunny day in San Diego. If you're unsure about coming in, stop by for a cocktail and take in the lovely weather and atmosphere!

A group of friends had a wonderful time at Yanni's. The food and our server were excellent. We gave it 4 stars because the service was a bit slow. Our meals didn't all come out at the same time, which led to some of us almost finishing while a couple of others were still waiting for their dinners.

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish! Our server was quick to provide great suggestions, and everything he recommended turned out to be perfect. Definitely try the trio as an appetizer, and don't miss out on a lamb skewer (or two)! The support staff was fantastic and efficient, especially during the dinner rush, and the owner, Yanni, made a point to stroll through the dining room as well. This is truly some of the best Mediterranean food in San Diego. The jasmine trellises and fairy lights create a lovely atmosphere for evening dining; you would never guess you were so close to the highway! I give it a solid 10/10!

We’ve been dining here for almost 20 years since moving to North County, and it has become our favorite spot for celebrations. The food and wine are consistently excellent. It's clear that Yanni takes great care of his staff, as many have been here just as long as we’ve been customers. The atmosphere and wine selection are fantastic, and let’s not forget the delicious buddino and gelato!

I began my meal with a delightful Bella Martini, a mix of vanilla vodka, lime, and ginger, which was recommended by the server based on my cravings. The special salad was fresh and flavorful, and even the small portion was very satisfying. Although the dessert menu was tempting, I opted to finish my meal with the indulgent budino martini. Naturally, I brought a budino home for my daughter; otherwise, I knew I would hear about it later! I always enjoy visiting Yanni's, as it never fails to impress!
