Poki One N Half - San Diego

LAST TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2023, MY WIFE AND I WENT TO ORDER, AS ALWAYS, THE SERVICE WAS REALLY VERY BAD, YOUR MANAGER TIM TRUONG WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR COMPLETING MY PLATE WHICH WAS LEFT INCOMPLETE AT THAT TIME. WE LIKE THEIR FOOD BUT I WILL NOT PAY SO MUCH MONEY AGAIN FOR THE BAD TREATMENT THAT A MANAGER CAN GIVE YOU.

If I could give this store a negative I would. They didn’t listen to anything I put on my order (I also called to confirm) prepared my bowl however they chose. The employees are very rude and DO NOT BELONG SERVING THE PUBLIC!! I waisted $20.00 on a bowl I didn’t order or enjoy. If your franchise wants to stay in business I highly suggest you start from scratch with this locations! Ordered a large bowl with greens and a side of rice instead got less than half a medium bowl w no greens and all rice. I was unable to eat it because my body doesn’t digest rice (rice was not for me). I will be disputing the charge on my card and I will continue to write a review EVERY SINGLE DAY until I get my refund and something is done at the store level to ensure all others who visit this establishment don’t deal w the same rude inadequate behavior/experience as I have. Large greens bowl missing all the greens less than half full for $20.00. Clean up your establishment before you allow your non loyal employees to loose it for you! FYI the order only doesn’t allow you to select all greens as the base that is why I called in once my order was placed as well as included it in my notes and was reassured that she was going to prepare it correctly. NOT! If you can’t get your job right at Poke One N Half then maybe you need to start w some basic job training with an bonus course on listening and common sense. DO NOT WAISTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!!

Went to eat after class with some friends, and the food was so fresh a great! Chose to dine in and the only issue was some overweight guys crack hanging out in my face and he had a belt on... Almost stuck my chopsticks in it!

Was excited to try this poke place out after seeing that it was one of the highest rated poke places in SD, but was kind of disappointed. Very limited sauce choices and toppings (no tobiko or masago? compared to other places. Also just plain rice, no sushi rice. And there was a bone in one of my salmon pieces... I think overall it's an ok poke spot, maybe I'm just used to different poke preferences? Also parking is really tough since it's right by SDSU. The only parking we could get is the paid garage next door, and unfortunately they don't validate parking.
