Indigo Grill - San Diego

We really like indigo! We have the passport diners card which is a buy one get one here... and it’s an extreme value! Filet mignon, pork ribs, half chicken, trout.. all very good! Have a date night special for $39/couple... included an entree each and a bottle of wine or carafe of sangria. Such a great deal!!! The pork ribs are so good... they fall off the bone and have tons of flavor. Huge shoutout to the corn pudding... it’s like nothing I’ve ever had. I get it every time and eat the whole thing... quickly. Love it! I’d recommend sitting on the patio if you can and it’s warm... it has a great ambiance and people watching.

This restaurant used to be a visit to the SD. We had friends in the city and decided then down in SD for the weekend and treat them for dinner here. Unfortunately, it looks like there is a new cook that seems to cut corners at some dishes. Our preference was the shrimp. It used to be fantastic. We ordered it at our last visit and it was dry and clear sat in warmer for hours. We sent it back, hoping for a better one, and the next came the same. Of course, Tamales must be made before the time, but there are ways to keep it warm without drying it or batch cooking all day. Overall, the food experience has taken a few steps back. The flavors were just not there. The drinks were wonderful and so was the service. We had a great time, but wanted the food to be like before the transition with the new cook.

Really excellent place. Great food, mixed drinks and wine. Happy hour and daily specials. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, ambiance and staff. Quaint outdoor seating with plenty of heaters to keep you warm on the chilly San Diego evenings. I highly recommend you try this place in the heart of little Italy

I wasn't quite sure what to anticipate after reading earlier reviews, but I must say, everything—food, drinks, and atmosphere—was excellent! Our waitress was friendly without being intrusive. The food was delicious, and as someone visiting from out of town, I was not disappointed at all.

I had an exceptional experience from beginning to end! The food was outstanding—flavorful, fresh, and made with care! Our server, Alex, was truly fantastic; he provided detailed descriptions of the dishes and hit the mark with every recommendation! The entire staff, from the hostess to the food runners, was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend trying the Brie; I could seriously bathe in the jalapeño jelly! On Thursday nights, they have happy hour all evening long, which is definitely worth checking out. The atmosphere is cool and trendy, and the food is delicious, complemented by world-class service. I will certainly be returning. Five stars all around!
