Blue Wave And Grill - San Diego

I was looking forward to a better dinner since it had been recommended by @SanDiegoMagazine and my expectations were higher. Food and service was ok but you could see it had been cooked hours ago and put under a heat light giving the sauce and meat a dry appearance. It wasn’t terrible but definitely not memorable

Food was excellent. But, service was terrible. Too bad for such an exquisite restaurant.

We enjoyed happy hour before dinner . The appetizers, especially wings and chowder fries were delicious. It was very busy but the service was very good. Dinner was also very good. There was no hostess but you could tell everyone pitched in and there were no complaints about the service or the food. I already look forward to going there again.

Dined for our Anniversary. We sat on the patio, which was nice, although lacking in service. The wait staff was friendly, but seemed overall inattentive. The food on the other hand was very good...wedge salad, scallops, Hawaiian fried chicken, with sides of brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes. The potatoes were a little bit of a downer, cooked well, but the duck fat preparation did not come across. My cocktail was strong, but to the point of being one note. Overall, a nice evening and Would go back.
