Osteria U Pellegrin

We have been here three times now purposefully, we aim for this place whenever we are in Italy, or at least in the Val Fontanabuona area. This is a wonderful family restaurant, and people drive here from far away to enjoy their bounty, and their wonderful dishes. They are small, local, and terrific on their fritto misto, their ravioli, and anything we have ever eaten has left us groaning with pleasure. Local food, made properly, in the center of town. You could miss it if you weren't aiming for it. Small sign. The town Romaggi) is at the top of a hill, with Roman ruins nearby, and a dwindling population in town, a magnificent old church, with bell tower companile) and old church organ. Many families from this area ended up in the US, and so families visit when returning.

What an amazing experience it was to eat in this historical family run place! We loved every bit of it, so much food and so delicious, definitely worth the drive! We look forward to be back next year

Osteria u Pellegrin is not easy to reach, high up in the mountains of Romaggi, but the trip is well worth it. The ravioli are incredible, made the traditional way. And the views are spectacular.

Cucina di tradizione, tutto fatto in casa e ottimo. Personale gentilissimo. Lunga vita ai posti come questo!!

Luogo molto frequentato e con scarsa possibilità di parcheggio. La cucina è tradizionale dell'entroterra ligure. Porzioni abbondanti, non tutti i piatti sono riuscitissimi, ma ci sta. Consiglio la cima alla genovese, ottima!
