When I returned them-without asking for a refund- the server/cook became very belligerent and told me it was my problem and she didn't care. Nothing even close to an apology. It was close to lunch time and the place was empty-telltale.
Went and enjoyed Sugar Shack this morning. Was delicious as usual. Enjoyed an ABC Omelette add jalapeños. The hash browns were cooked perfectly and crispy.
Food was alright, but I really don?t know why everyone is hyping up these cinnamon rolls. I rate and review cinnamon rolls, and after seeing all the comments, I was stoked to try this one. Very disappointed. Rose is very nice.
This is a fabulous good old-fashioned hamburger stand with lots of choices of hot and cold sandwiches and lunch fixings. The waitress was really fun. I loved everything about it. If you're driving down 101 get off for Dana Point and check the Sugar Shack out! You won't be sorry.
She pointed at the menu where it mentions an extra charge for sharing food. No one was planning to share, but she jabbed at it again as if to ensure I understood the policy. There were no words, just an impatient glare waiting for us to place our order. She was combative with my sweet wife, who looked confused while simply trying to order. She even forgot the cheese for the omelet, and the cook ended up sprinkling some on top. “He’s Greek, so he wants you to taste the cheese,” she warned in a tone that clearly said not to complain, because she wouldn’t lift a finger to make it right. Is it a Greek belief that melting cheddar diminishes its flavor? I observed her preparing take-out orders—slapping food together and bagging it in a haphazard manner—it all seemed dreary and unappetizing. Charging over $20 per person for a greasy diner breakfast was outrageous. I won’t be returning.
