Gelataio - San Carlos

I really enjoy the ice cream at this restaurant, but I find the establishment to be quite questionable. During my recent visit, they attempted to charge me an extra $2 for a dine-in tax, which would have amounted to a 20% sales tax. I have lived in this area for a long time and have never encountered such a tax before. After checking the official government website, I found no mention of such a tax. Although I used to frequent this place weekly, I will not be returning due to these sketchy practices.

This restaurant serves the best gelato in the bay area. The pistachio and hazelnut flavors are both outstanding. The waffle cone is also a must-try. Don't pass up the opportunity to visit this place!

Solid gelato for the neighborhood. Small selection of scoops and gelato bars. Nice folks. No samplers .

Best ice cream, hands down. Pistachio is to die for. All flavors taste exactly as advertised.

One of the best ice creams I ever had. We had hazelnut and double chocolate in a cup, both flavours were yummilicious. Would absolutely like to try other flavours soon.
