Pizzeria Mare Blu

We experienced kind service and good food at a reasonable price. You can get classic pizzas and don't miss the seafoods.

Took a lunch pizza with , wine and water, pizza Inferno (salcicca, tomato, onion, mozzarella and peperocini) nice hot taste in the background, perfect crust, all in all a perfect lunch. good price I would say.

Easily overlooked, this little restaurant/pizzeria is hidden in an anonymous one-way street leading to the shore. Small and welcoming, its cuisine is simple, but their Penne all'arrabbiata stand out with sheer perfection. The home baked bread is also rather outstanding, its texture and flavour as rich and mellow as that of focaccia. Medium range.

Our family ate in Mare Blu a few times during our time in San Bartolomeo. We were always delighted with the food. The spaghetti allo scoglio was delicious. Probably the best I ever had. Two of our group really enjoyed the spaghetti alle sarde and fritto misto also was perfect. Pizza was good too. All food was served piping hot. With warm fresh bread on the table to soak up every last drop, we were well satisfied. I would highly recommend Mare Blu. Nothing fancy. Just basically good food.

We went there to eat pizza. My wife ordered a tomato mozzarella salad (Insalata caprese). The mozzarella on hat salad as old and tasted sour. Also the pizzas didn 't smell fresh, but old. As we asked the waitress to try the mozzarella, she refused. Instead she run into the kitchen and brought a new bag (pack) of mozzarella which she opened on our table to show that the mozzarella was good. Then we said also the pizzas smell old , she run again into the kitchen to get the box where all the chopped mozzarella for the pizzas was in. Here comes the disgusting part! She grabbed with her hands into that box and took out a handful of cheese and showed it to us, then she let grab her daughter a handful cheese, who was playing on with dirty hands on the ground. The waitress probably wanted to show us that she would give that mozzarella cheese her own daughter to eat. After we paid without eating, she brought that box back into that kitchen.
