Bidrage med feedbackWe own an apartment that is about ten minutes walk from Pollos Asados al Carbon El Amigo Don David (we didn't know the name so far) and are weekly customers. The chicken is wonderful. It is tasteful and juicy. The employees are very excited about the customers. They get a chicken from the grill and the lady there are a few sharp wobbles with her machete like a cracker. 8 or 10 pieces per chicken. You get your pages. We lie the Cole Slav, the Makkaroni salad, the potatoes, the salsa and the pico de gallo. We exchange the tortilla stack and the free refresco (soda) for an additional salad. There are different packages, depending on how many chickens you want to buy and you can only get chicken without sides. WARNING: They sometimes sell the early bird at 5 p.m....
Some people eat there, but we just buy a chicken and take it home --Way better than any chicken I've ever bought in the states. Marinated and juicy.
But since you probably never had the experience, it's a must. Be ready to find out if you want meals, 1, 2, 3 or 4 from the Billboard menu. I don't think anyone speaks English. It's not hard. Usually there are a number of locals who pick up dinner. They close at 3:00. There is a taco bar and a shrimp (I believe) next door. Everyone's busy when I was over. I still have to come up at the level of cooking with a camera when the cook dances, these chickens are fooling around. If you can consider a cemetery as a destination, this is much more interesting, even if you don't buy anything, but that would be a mistake!
That's one of my "Gate to ' places. I'll grab a chicken, salsa, Slav and the tortillas and grilled onions with which the chicken comes and I'll sit. There is usually a line waiting to get some pollen, so you know it's good.
