Bidrage med feedbackI was thoroughly impressed on my visit here. We ordered a Baja fish taco, carnitas taco, and pancho taco. The pancho was the best, but all were good. The carnitas are not shredded and the pickled onion and carrot slices were different but the flavor as a whole worked. <br/ <br/ For sides, we had calabacita and corn and charro beans. These were also done well but not amazing. Dessert was the big red and Mexican vanilla soft serve. The Big red flavor comes through but the vanilla is really special. We also tried the chips and queso which were good but the bowl of queso is so small. <br/ <br/ They have a really good beer selection, wine on tap, and good desserts. Many people came in just for flan. Next time I'll try a drink from the bar and the carne guisada. <br/ <br/ As a long time San Antoninan, we needed a unique and fresh Mexican place like this.
At Viva Villa, you order cafeteria-style from three main categories: "cazuelas" served in small cast-iron dishes with tortillas on the side, "mercado" tacos, and "mini street tacos." The selection of meat is extensive and delicious, including options like Mercado Guisada, Puerco en Salsa Verde, and Pollo Rostizado. Be sure to try the sides as well; I particularly enjoyed the Esquites, a Mexican-style street corn dish. While the prices may appear a bit steep compared to some other taquerias in San Antonio, the quality and portion sizes justify the cost. Additionally, this is the only restaurant I’ve visited that offered me a refill on aguas frescas. Adorned with the phrase "Revolutionary Tacos" on the wall, Viva Villa promises a satisfying casual dining experience that won’t disappoint.
The atmosphere, service, and food were outstanding! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was incredible. If you're ready to step outside your taco comfort zone and explore new flavors, this is the place to go! The presentation was well worth the price. It's a fantastic spot to visit in San Antonio!
This charming little spot in Market Square is a must-visit for food lovers! Don't expect large, commercial-style Mexican dishes here. Instead, you'll find bold flavors and beautifully presented plates at reasonable prices. We tried the al pastor mini tacos, corn truffle quesadilla, and sopas, and everything was simply delicious. The ambiance is delightful, and the staff is very friendly. We'll definitely be adding this to our list of places to revisit!
What a fantastic unexpected discovery! We were hoping to avoid the 45-minute to hour-long wait at the crowded Mi Tierra or Margaritaville. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, and the waitstaff were incredibly friendly. The prices were very reasonable, and the food was fresh and packed with flavor. One suggestion: it might be a good idea to reconsider having the uniformed security guard at the entrance—just my two cents. Overall, it's a great place, and I would absolutely return!
