Tlahco Mexican Kitchen - San Antonio

As far as Mexican restaurants go, this location does not really live up to expectation. The food is priced very high for simple options (ex. $5 for a bacon egg with one strip of generic bacon) and the flavors are not exceptional—often bland. We ordered a variety of things to get a good idea of flavors, but they all fell short. The best thing here is their bean dip with the chips. Very flavorful and unique, but not worth the entire experience.

Fantastic experience. Great food. Service was on point the whole time. Seated a group of 12 and did an absolutely superb job. Would definitely go again.

Some days everything is just off. After waiting for our table the hostess “accidentally” forgot to seat us so she could seat a party who walking in after us. We got to wait an extra 20 minutes for the privilege to be seated.Four out of five of us got our plates on time. The unlucky fifth person got to wait an extra 10 to 15 minutes for the order to be prepared. Several other people who were seated after us, continued to get served their meals while we continued to wait for our last plate to arrive.The quality of the food was not as good as it was on previous occasions.This restaurant no longer lives up to the reputation it previously had. There are other better options in San Antonio.Your best option might be to just order your food to go. If you do, be sure to check the order carefully before you leave to make sure you actually received all your food.

Literally the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I don’t live in SA, but whenever I come out here I make sure I always stop here to eat. The mole is TO DIE FOR!!!! Margaritas are delicious. Just eat here. You won’t regret it.

This restaurant is absolutely awesome and is such a true gem ? in San Antonio ?!! We have been here twice for the street tacos ? and refreshing drinks ?, and have not been disappointed ?!! It has its own small parking lot, which can get full fast on weekends. But for the 2 times we have been there, we haven't had trouble with parking.The Mexican food and desserts ? here are so authentic and delicious ?!! And it is promptly served shortly after you order ?! The employees here are super friendly and courteous and greet you very warmly ?!For sure, we will be back for more ?!!
