Madhatters Tea House - San Antonio

This is a very unique spot for breakfast and tea. It's quite casual, so you can comfortably go in wearing sandals. The breakfast was excellent; I had two breakfast tacos while my wife chose the English muffin French toast, and both dishes were delicious. The shop offers a wide variety of black, green, red, and white teas. The teas are served in individual kettles, and you can pick your cup from a shelf. My wife opted for the Irish breakfast black tea, and I enjoyed the passion fruit red tea. Each kettle holds enough for about three full cups. The tea was fantastic as well.

I visited Mad Hatter at 8:30 AM on a Saturday, and it was pleasantly quiet for that early hour. Just two of us, we ordered two pots of tea, two sandwiches, a bagel, and some fruit. Everything we had was delicious. Each pot of tea provided about 3-4 cups, and I appreciated the option of raw sugar! The service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. We’ll definitely return!

I was really excited to visit this restaurant during my trip, and it did not disappoint! The tea was fantastic, and the hummus sandwich surpassed my expectations. I will definitely come back again before I leave! The gentleman at the front deserves some recognition! I regret not catching his name, but he was managing orders, answering questions, and enjoying his lunch all at once, and he did it all with a smile. There should be more people like him!

Very cool and interesting atmosphere. I love the freedom of the place. You can sit anywhere, with many rooms to choose from, get your own drinks aside from the tea, and then place your order. Cute little sandwiches with the 'party ' orders. For something more substantial I suggest ordering an individual sandwich or adding soup and/or salad. Spinach Chicken Salad sandwich was my favorite! Had a great time with my family and will go back in the future.

Saturday morning at 8:30 to Mad Hatter. It was quiet in the restaurant, that was nice for the morning. Two people in total, we ordered 2 pots of tea, two sandwiches, a bagel and fruit. All we had was delicious. Each pot of tea was between 3-4 cups. I love that there are sugar in the raw as an option! Service was good. The prices were good. We're coming back!
