Gyro's Drive Inn - San Antonio

If you have a choice between wataburger and this place for the same price, I would go with this place. I went for the gyro once and told myself I would come back for the actual burger. I did and it was realllly good. It's not the ritziest place but it is great for a good old burger and fry meal.

Been coming here since Gladys was a carhop! My parents hung out here in the 50's n 60's and never stopped. They have great fresh seafood, fantastic burgers, and one hell of a chix fried steak sandwich- known by the LOCOS OK LOCALS AS THE SATELLITE, ITS BEST TO EAT IT THERE OR REQUEST SAUCE ON THE SIDE TO AVOID IT GETTING MUSHY. Friendly, fast service. I hope they stay open forever!!

Hadn't been in here in a while, probably since the Pandemic started and shut everything down. I've always liked their square fish and also their Gyro burgers. Today's lunch specials were plenty but, I decided to go with the fish plate. Look at the pictures, the $5.99 lunch specials are well within reason. Plenty of choices as well. And the portions are not skimpy. I had the fish and fries, plenty of tartar sauce, lemons, and crispy fries. The tea was sweet and not overly sweet. I'll be back for the burger, which is originally what I came for.

Excellent burgers but wanted something light, so I opted for crispy dogs. Deep fried Wiener cheese wrapped on corn tortilla. Plus a squirt of mustard. Hit the spot!
