The Winchester Pints Plates

My friend and I went on Tuesday, October 3rd for HH. We sat at the bar where Casper waited on us. I was just drinking house white wine. My friend ordered a Moscow Mule. The first drink was okay. When we asked for another round, Casper began to muddle her drink and then started talking to someone he appeared to know and forgot what he was doing. When he started to walk away, we got his attention, so he could finish her drink. The service was very erratic and at times, very unprofessional. The staff spends way too much time jabbering amongst each other when they should be taking better care of their customers. When our bill came, which we asked to be split, my friend was charged $4 for a mixing fee. This is NOT downtown at a high end establishment where the drinks are being made by a true mixologist!! When we asked Casper about the charge and questioned its validity, he looked right at us and said, What do you think we work for free? THE GALL!!!! I expressed to him that his comments were not appropriate and I 've NEVER had someone in the service industry speak to me that way, he began getting very argumentative and nasty! I asked a very sweet bartender that was looking on, her name is Grace, if we could speak to the Manager and was told that the Manager had left already. The time was around 8:30PM. Pretty sure someone of authority needs to be around at all times. Lastly, the receipt noted that Casper 's name is actually Caleb. Isn 't he the clever one.........

This place wasn't too bad. We went out on a date night and stopped in for a bite to eat. We had to wait a little while for server, and the tables were extremely sticky. But overall once we got service, the server was really good and the food was ok. It is nothing special just year every day bar food. The drinks are good, but just like any other bar nothing special. I would love this bar another chance just lower my expectations for the food.

I came to this place and got a party room, Gypsy took care of us and a girl named Z conversed with us afterwards when we were looking for recommendations for spots around town to hang out as we were in town from corpus and overall service great!!!! I recommend this place to EVERYONE!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

From entering was initially excited I was feeling at home, proper pub feeling, that lasted about 6 seconds, the “bikini bartender” (never saw a bartender in a pub back home in that kind of attire) seemed annoyed at the fact we interrupted her group chat with her friends on a Saturday night to serve us absolutely massacred pulling a pint of Guiness needless to say we payed and left if you’re not a “regular” here I wouldn’t waste my time!!
