Sanppo Restaurant - San Andreas

A simple go-to sushi place with all the classics. I wasn’t amazed, but was not disappointed either, however it is pricy for what it is in my opinion relative to other sushi places in the city. The shrimp tempura was really good though, high on my list, with a good crisp and not over battered. I would recommend a try!

I don’t understand how people can give 1 star reviews. This is my GO TO SPOT in Japantown and it’s never failed me. The service is fast and friendly, the quality of food is good and you get exactly what you pay for. I’ve never had any issues with the food and I highly recommend taking advantage of their lunch specials.

Very pleasant experience. Waitress was nice and service was prompt. Ordered the Bento w/ Teriyaki Chicken and Avocado Roll, both were great. Japanese beers here are great value for a restaurant in SF, at $8 for a 21 oz Asahi.

I ordered the lunch special with curry udon and tuna don. Both were delicious, the udon was great tasting and the fish was good quality. The quantity of food was also very good, and the service was friendly and fast.

I love the food but I love the staff even more. Polite, quick, and genuine. The beef was essentially steak. I love this place. I love them so much.Food: 5/5
