Previously it went to roti when it was in burlingame, and loved it. it has closed there a few years ago, and we discovered it in san mateo just recently, so we thought we would see if it is as good as we remember. unfortunately not. we have booked for 5.30 clock to avoid any hurry and to accommodate our little ones. the restaurant was empty, but the service was ridiculously slow. it took almost an hour to eat something. lamb korma was very averaged probably had 5 pieces lamb overall. Chicken tikka was dry and boiled over. aloo gobi was me too. with so many great food in san mateo this is definitely from our lists.
This is one of these restaurants that they will always go back. I highly recommend it.
We had a reservation because it is Valentine's Day. we sat right away and served. customers received a free glass champagne to celebrate valentine’s. the planter was in order, but the two sauces were either too hot or too sweet. the basmati reis was cooked easily and accurately. the garlic and basilikum was delicious. the garnels in cocoss sauce were too salty, but the sauce was excellent. the mixed tandoori was burned, oversalted and dry. the price was quite high, but the situation is good. the server seemed inexperienced. they could not remember which table asked what items.
Ambiance fairly plain but roomy. Food better than ambiance. Parking pretty difficult.
