Bidrage med feedbackJust as everybody says, the staff there were super friendly and welcoming. We came here right after a drink at the next door Twin Peaks Tavern. Luckily we got a booth as it’s usually quite busy. I had their 4 pieces Fried Chicken and I really enjoyed it even though I wasn’t even that hungry. We definitely plan to come back here again next time in San Francisco.
Good diner food, friendly service, and just a fun environment. It feels like the number of diners in San Francisco is dwindling, they’re far and few, but having one this electric on the doorstep of the Castro is kind of perfect. If you’re visiting or passing through, go one, give it a go. Pictured is their cheeseburger yum! It had a patty with about half inch thickness (don’t hold me to that and perfectly melted cheese. It comes open with your choice of side (fries for me! .
I think I never gave a place 5 stars when I had some critics but I think that this is what makes this place awesome, I’ll explain. We came to the us from Tel Aviv and at the same day of arrival we went to a club and right after accidentally went to this dinner to get the American experience. The place was full with beautiful people and the staff was really nice. We ordered french fries, french toast, crispy bacon, and milkshakes. Everything was so good and delicious. One thing- the milkshakes was too sweet- but it depends on each ones flavour. Eventually we went home satisfied and with a great taste. LGBTQ friendly, prices are great. The place is open 24/7. I’ll recommend to go there after clubbing as we did.
Sometimes you want to go to a really solid diner type restaurant for some comfort food and Orphan Andy’s fits that bill perfectly. Really solid breakfast served with a smile in a very tiny restaurant with fun decor. The food isn’t something mind blowing but it’s solid staples and was served quickly.
Love love love love love this place. Decor was booming when we went in on NYE which really made the place feel special. The layout is very much a typical traditional American diner which I appreciated a lot as it was my first time visiting from the UK. Staff were polite and extra attentive. We had breakfast here twice. First time having the eggs, sausages and hotcakes. Second time having the Mexican tortilla thing. Both tasted great, only complaint would be that the menu was missing a proper full English breakfast (would be good for UK visitors). Eggs, beans, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns etc. This would have really made the whole experience something spectacular for me.
