OneUP Restaurant & Lounge at Grand Hyatt San Francisco

A la carte breakfast menu is pretty standard. Service attentive. Seating for five was not well laid out (chair at the end of a table) even though we had a reservation.

The food and service from the waitstaff were quite good. However, I was caught off guard by their schedule: breakfast is only served as a buffet until 11:30 AM, and lunch doesn't start until noon. This created an awkward situation for our reservations, as we had one at 11:30 AM and another at 11:45 AM the next day while we were hoping for lunch. To make matters worse, the receptionist had the audacity to tell us we needed to leave after being there for just over an hour. I didn’t see any information online about this abrupt switch from breakfast to lunch, which felt very restrictive. Moreover, the brunch buffet at 11:30 AM was disappointing and certainly not something to take pride in. They should be embarrassed! Additionally, the lunch area and the nearby bar have only one unisex bathroom. If that one is occupied, you have to trek down two floors to find another. Given these issues, I will look for other options in the future, even though this restaurant is conveniently located around Union Square and has decent food and service.

We had breakfast, and the meal was excellent. I also really enjoyed my Bloody Mary!

Every dish we tried at the Mother's Day brunch was absolutely delicious!

Good to excellent food in a very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere.
