I made a reservation for dinner on the same day, only to arrive and find the restaurant closed. Another group had also made reservations for dinner and were left searching for another place to celebrate their friend's birthday. We were all very disappointed. It's unclear if this is a permanent issue for the restaurant, but I wish the owners had informed Open Table to remove their establishment from the reservation list. I have to give this place a 1-star rating to warn others about the situation.
We were very disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed after we walked all the way from our hotel. It was frustrating to see it advertised on this website when it was not even open.
The waiter that greeted us was totally distracted with his phone. Took awhile for him to give us the menu and we were the inly ones there. When the manager or owner arrive he (manager/owner) gave us excellent service. The food was very tasty. Even the Luke warm artichoke gratin. When the mgr asked how we enjoyed the food, we told him everything was very good however the gratin was luke warm. He took it off our bill. Very sweet man. We definite will go back again. Hummus, falafel, and seafood wrap is AMAZING!!
This worked well for us as a place picked out from Yelp reviews for a place to eat between going to the Asian Art Museum (closes at 5) and a concert at 7:30 at the Herbst Theater. Service was very good (not a lot of diners). We liked the premise and the menu. But food that night (a Wednesday) wasn 't the best in terms of mid East cooking: Chicken Boerek was dull; lovely little stuffed eggplants were TOO preserved lemony/salty. The lentil soup WAS very good. The almond cake gratis from the chef! was good, and delicate. The Lebanese/Turkish/Armenian/Greek coffee was also good, but virtually no sludge (which I expect). I 'd give it another try for the two of us, but not recommend to others ... as yet.
