Bite Restaurant - San Andreas

They had fabulous food, service and overall experience. You cannot beat this Gem of a find in San Antonio.

I took my wife here for her birthday...it did not disappoint! Start with the Lamb Cigar.

Consistently the best there is in Southtown/Downtown San Antonio.

My boyfriend and I are amazed how this restaurant is on OpenTable. The reasons why we feel this way are several. For instance, the restaurant is so small that when the chef is cooking, it smells up the whole place. Also, we prefer a 4 top, side-by-side which I requested on the reservation. However, the waiter stated the tables were reserved for a party of four. Guess, he does not know how to count because, during our time there, we witnessed a couple sit at each of these two tables. Another amazement was that I ordered an item off the menu and when it arrived at the table, the sauce and sides were completely different than what was described. The waiter stated that the cooks sometimes present the menu item differently. So, don't get our hopes up for what we thought we ordered? Last time we will be eating there. However, the evening was not a total loss as we had dessert at a nearby worthy OpenTable restaurant.

Bite is one of our favorite restaurants in South Town. It's very small, just 10 or 12 tables, but that's part of what makes it so appealing. The decor is very unique and everyone gets plenty of (but not too much) attention from not only the food servers but also from the owner and the bartender. They are all eager to answer questions about the menu items and anything else, which makes for a very personalized dining experience. I love the seared salmon dish, my husband loves the duck confit dish, and we both love the appetizers and cocktails. The menu is small but this doesn't detract. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a unique and delicious South Town dining experience.
