Dining at Preto Branco was a friendly and savoury experience. Following a local boat-tour guide's recommendation, we discovered Preto Branco while staying at Salvaterra Country House. It serves delicious family-style Portuguese cuisine in a cosy and pure ambience. The spirited host shared the unusual/comedic reason behind the restaurant's name, a peculiar personal anecdote which made us smile.

Wonderful food, very nice atmosphere, very fresh food, very clean, in pretty area. Season specialties were very tasteful, and the deserts were very presentable and delicious. Good luck to Preto Branco

We ordered bacalhau com natas and pork plumes. The owner( and server) suggested that we share both and brought us the bacalhao for starters followed by the pork(good Idea).Portions were large and both very tasty. The olives and cheese beforehand were good ,the cheese being excellent. The owner was helpful and attentive occasionally stopping for a chat. Will definately visit again when next in the area.Recommended.
