Bidrage med feedbackThe small village of Vaqueros is located directly outside the city border of Salta and offers a wonderful Argentinean country experience. The city is full of small shops, parkland and of course the riverside outdoor activities. The small and cozy Maurias Bistro is a perfect place for...Ding. The food is cooked at home to order with real country cuisine style and flavors. They are open for lunch and dinner and offer Empanadas, Humitas, Spanish style potato bags, a variety of main courses and traditional Postrie deserts. The bife de lomo bordelaise (filet mignon) is a must for cattle lovers or the roasted chicken breast Italian for lighter meat. Two people can easily have a hearty meal, accompanied by local wine for approx. US$15 and they have a cozy indoor dining room or bright outdoor terrace. This is my favorite place when I'm in my farmhouse in Vaqueros. This is worth a visit from the beaten route for tourists. Simply reached by taxi or city bus, make sure that this side trip when you visit the city of Salta.
I was there last January 2014. I went to the place three times, one for lunch and the other two for dinner. I tried chicken and meat (Lomo). And also the very caracteristic court: Empanadas. It's a good place. Good music... not too loud, and you can eat outside what is advisable when the weather is good.
