Bidrage med feedbackAddendum: restaurant closed permanently. I've really come to like this restaurant over the last year. I do a lot of professional recruiting, and this has become one of our go to dinner venues for visiting recruitment candidates. The food is solidly good, if not exceptional, but what I mostly like is the atmosphere. It is light, with large glass windows that bring in a lot of natural light during the day and early evening, and it is not too loud so that dinner conversation is very easy. There is nice outdoor seating for when the weather is good, which allows diners to enjoy the quiet local neighborhood. There is a parking lot in the back of the restaurant, which is very convenient great to have a nice restaurant to go to that does not require the usual downtown parking struggle. Interesting and tasty antipasti options, and a nice variety of entree options, including crisp crusted pizzas.

Lamb shank risotto wins every time. Best lamb in SLC.
Closed with no notice. Reservations being taken and website still online. Wow.
My husband and I were looking for something locally sourced and fresh. Sea Salt did not disappoint. This is not your trashy Olive Garden with free breadsticks to fill up on because the food isn't good enough. We have driven passed the cute little restaurant many times and decided to give it a try. The service was amazing. Our server was an Italian native and we depended on him for his advice for what was good. The ambience was light and airy for such small space. The decor was classy white woodsy with marble accents. The staff was clean and crisp. We started the night with their Carpaccio di Manzo Piemontese. It was amazing! Simple recipes are easily over done ruining the food; not here though. When you have fresh and well treated ingredients like Sea Salt, you let the ingredients speak for themselves without having to do too much to it. The simple taste of the meat was complimented nicely with their special sea salt and fresh olive oil arugula salad. This restaurant is meant to be the date; a place you can slow down and take your time to enjoy. Our meal was prepared fresh and allowed us to take our time enjoying each other's company and the restaurant's decor. We continued our meal with Ravioli di Nonna Maria for my husband and Orecchiette alla Pugliese for myself. The ravioli was made in-house, it was tender but not soggy-perfect. Inside the ravioli was a braised beef full of spices that awoke your senses. The Orecchiette was cooked perfectly as well. The sausage that was served with it was done right with a crisp outer layer and soft flavorful interior. The pieces of sausage were decent sized too. The portion sizes for both was perfect. We were plenty full with what we ordered but everything was so good we decided to try a light dessert. Here is what changed my life! We ordered the Olive Oil gelato off the recommendation of our server. THANK YOU! I have often heard to use a good olive oil when cooking. I never thought I bought bad olive oil. BUT after trying Sea Salt's olive oil I will never look at it the same. I am an olive oil snob now. It is AMAZING! We will be going back again and I hope sooner than later. It is a more expensive meal but worth every penny. I hate eating out and paying for something I can easily make at home for half the price. This place makes great food with wonderful fresh ingredients. The chefs really care about the food they send out here. There are no photos because we enjoyed the experience so much we were able to forget about the outside world and just took the time to enjoy the moment.
