Bidrage med feedbackI the summer the Kohi Noor occupies the entire street under the clock in the old town. The smell of Indian spices wafts over the entire street. Having walked past it a number of times we decided to give it a shot. Its a scruffy looking building clad in wooden shuttering and posters of Aishwarya Rai. They have a team of waiters who run around serving the entire street. The food is ok. We had the thaili. It was not overly spicy and lacked a raft of chilli that you can get in some UK currys. The spice had possibly been played down to cater for the local palette and whatever they are doing is working. We sat down to dinner at seven and the tables on the street were at capacity all night. Despite a couple of rain showers that had the entire compliment of waiters running out onto the street to wind out the ornings on all the street shop fronts on two occasions and winding them back again when the rain had stopped
Good food, friendly and great service in a romantic spot! Prices were fair and and a lot of choices on the menu. Recommended!
Beautiful classic restaurant good cuisine and nice service with smiles we eat at here every weekend the environment is good and I will recommend to eat at here.
We were there during the medieval parade week and were offered only a fixed and very limited menu,,,either 7 or 9 small sample cups. Most tasted the same. Nan was not what was expected, Service seemed distracted by the fact we wanted to eat inside out of the wind.
I've been to this place several times, which is really stupid of me, because it's always bad. I keep hoping that it will improve, but it never does. Last time I went I ordered their vegetarian thali. They brought me a meat thali. When I told them their mistake they replaced the meat parts with some rubbish salad dishes. Then I noticed that there was a large piece of metal in the fried aubergine I don't mean just a bit of aluminium foil, it was a strip of metal. I pointed this out to the waiter and he was apologetic, but didn't offer a replacement or anything. I think that was my last visit to this place. Indian restaurants in France are usually poor, but this place is especially bad. A couple of notes to Tripadvisor; the picture shown in the review of this restaurant shows a river, which can't possibly be in Salon de Provence, also this restaurant is reviewed twice, it is also listed under the name Kohi Noor.
