Tacos El Jaliscience - Salinas

Tacos are a thing of beauty and art, and I love seeing how each place reinterprets them. Corn or flour tortilla? Overstuffed or just a little? Spicey as fire, or mild and meaty? This place uses corn tortillas about as big around as a beer coaster, so small, but crispy at the edges, soft to the bite, and bursting with good flavor, two per taco. The carnitas were amazing. Good juices running onto the plate, topped with white onion, cilantro, and a pickled carrot slice that I ate first. They were still crisp, so they are more an accompaniment than an ingredient. Order two. Order three. However many you get, you won't regret it. Don't be put off by the sun tortured signage or the gravelly and buckling parking lot. This place caters to hard working people that care about great food. 5 stars

This place is Unreal!! Definitely top tacos I’ve ever had — Flavor freaking explosion! Wow!

Love their super burritos. Don't love waiting 5 minutes to be helped then waiting 20 minutes for my order. Only 2 people working, one cooking and the other running back and forth between the front counter and drive-thru windows.

This place might be small but the food is delicious. The tacos are authentic and if you don't mind the neighborhood you are bound for an amazing meal. Personally I loved the tripa tacos! The entire family and I enjoyed this restaurant and highly recommend it your in the mood for Mexican food.
