Little Red Hen Bakery - Salida

I ordered two gluten-free goodies to take to a friend's house for breakfast: the Cherry Almond Scone and a Morning Glory Muffin. This was my first time visiting Little Red Hen Bakery. The scone was excellent, featuring chunks of soft cherry in each crispy bite, topped off with a sprinkle of rock sugar for added sweetness. The muffin had a strong flavor that was hard to identify—almost like rye flour. I was expecting a more moist and sweet carrot cake-like taste, but instead, it leaned more towards a savory profile. I will definitely make a return visit next time I'm in Salida.

During our stay at the Blue Coyote Ranch in Salida, we decided to stop by this lovely café on our way out. We picked up some delicious coffee and pastries for our journey home. The place has a charming atmosphere, excellent service, and outdoor seating so you can soak up the nice weather. We will definitely return!

Little Red Hen created the pies for our wedding, and they were a hit! Everyone at the reception couldn't stop raving about how delicious the pies were. During our tasting, Emily, the owner, prepared mini individual pies for us to try, which made for a really enjoyable experience. Working with Little Red Hen was fantastic, and I wholeheartedly recommend including their pies in your wedding plans. Thank you once again!

This is just a really great bakery. The first time I visited as with my parents and my younger brother back in August 2020 when we were staying in a Airbnb in Salida. This time, however, we were just passing through, my mom and brother off to somewhereelse since they were still staying in Colorado for the rest of the month while my dad and I were beginning the trek back home toArkansas. The Little Red Hen Bakery is just really great and I especially love their rosemary rolls!!!! : Next time I'm inColorado, I'll make sure to stop by again and get some more rosemary rolls. They also have good cinnamons rolls and savorybuns/rolls, too.

Soggy bagels in the pre-made breakfast sandwich. Savory spiral with a small amount of overcooked sausage that looked more like bacon bits than sausage. If you want water, you can get it from the bathroom sink. Not a very big bakery so limited variety.
