Subway - Salford

I arrived at 6:26 pm, the open sign was still on and the closing time on the door said 6:30 pm. The door was locked, but there was a staff member at the counter. When she saw me trying to open the door, she shook her head and turned off the open sign. When I pointed to my watch, she just shrugged. This is very disappointing service. I usually visit this restaurant for my evening meal when I am away from home during the week, and I have never experienced this issue before.

I really enjoy coming to this restaurant during my lunch break from work because I know I can always expect consistent, freshly made food. It's just what you need for a quick bite.

I visited the restaurant, ordered a sandwich, and it was exactly what I expected. The service was a bit slow, but the place was clean and tidy. Overall, it was a typical experience for a fast food chain.

I called onto this subway yesterday. Now, subway do not publish their prices online apparently, but from what I can recall of the price listed in the shop they literally stole my money. And for a substandard sarnie at that. I 've been into this branch before and so knew they 'd be a little slow, but I can live with that. I ordered a footlong, as I 'd missed lunch so was pretty peckish. Asked for the steak and cheese. I 'd swear from what I can recall their in-store menu stated that cost £6.19, which ain 't cheap. I then treated myself to a couple of ring donuts. The latter were actually quite nice, however the sarnie wasn 't especially. I used to have it with chipolte sauce but this store no longer sells it, so sweet onion it was. Either their sarnies are rapidly going downhill, or that dressing was a miracle worker in its own right. The sarnie was tasteless. I paid with a £20 note and the server them asked if I 'had the £2.28 '. Handed over the £22.28, got my change and off I went. You could argue what happened next was my own fault. I got in the car and set off down the East Lancs....when it occurred to me.....I 'd only been given a £10 note as my change. The somewhat deficient sarnie and passable donuts cost me £12.28. Sounds very pricy doesn 't it? Overcharge much?!! It also turned out the receipt wasn 't in the bag as I 'd assumed.....so over charged and denied the evidence to prove it. Class act, that shop.

I used to come to this subway every Wednesday after school, it was great, and we would constantly go up and ask for our cookies to be microwaved, so they melted in your mouth. They also let us get the kids meal, and friendly staff. Go SUBBERZ!!!
