Shahbaaz - Salford

What is wrong with this restaurant ? If you dine inside it is superb. I have never had a bad curry from here in twenty odd years of visiting. However if you have a takeaway it is a different matter. They range from just about average to totally inedible and the inedible one that I had tonight was the straw that broke the camels back. Do they have one chef to cook the restaurant meals and another totally untrained one to do the takeaways ? I hate to complain about this place but enough is enough. Am I wrong to order on a Monday because you would think you would get fresh food when it it is quiet ? Instead it seems you are served the weekends leftovers. The popadoms were soggy , the chapati was soggy , probably due to it being served in a plastic bag rather than foil. The chicken was as tough as old boot leather and while the curry sauce and chips were just about ok , I expect a decent full meal for this price. Also that's another thing. If you ever try ordering through Just Eat , don't expect to be able to complain or get a full refund as it's impossible. They are as bad as the restaurants they use.

My husband and I ordered a take away through just eat. We live locally and have visited here many times. Food has always been lovely. Our food arrived in record time. 20 mins. Greasy chips. Dry hard rice. My tikka masla was gritty and looked/tasted like a packet of chicken had been thrown in. My husband ordered a chef's special which was 10 pound. The lamb was tough like old boots. Even our dog gave up. Never again. This place has lost my custom.

Bobbed in the other Friday for a bit of early dinner with the GF. Had poppodoms stsarters mains All the food was fab and good prices too need to start using it a bit more often a its a great place for a nice curry food is always top draw

I Love a curry and try one wherever I travel to in England, never quite as good as Shahbaaz. I have eaten here for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Eat in, take away or deliveries, they have got your back! Be sure to try stuff from the specials board they have up from time to time! RECOMMEND!

We had our Christmas dinner at this restaurant and it was fantastic as usual. Most of my family enjoyed the Indian food, while my 96-year-old mother and I went for the traditional option, which we both really enjoyed. The staff were very attentive, the atmosphere was top-notch, and the price was great. It was a stress-free experience and we had a wonderful time. Just get yourself ready and go!
