Macleay Country Inn - Salem

I have not tried the restaurant food just yet. However, I the little store sells pizza by the slice. I ordered a full pizza to go and it was very affordable and home made.

Their food is very good! Their streaks are always great! This time I had the Turkey Swiss sandwich with homemade potato salad on the side. The sandwich was wonderful, however the salad was so over powered with onion that I couldn't eat it. It was more like an onion salad with potato, not the other way around. The service is great! All of the waitresses we have had have always been prompt, very friendly, helpful, appear to generally line their job and those they work with. So it adds to the atmosphere! Great place to go! We are never disappointed when we go to MacLeay Country Inn

Some of the staff could improve their customer service and table waiting skills. However, overall it's a fantastic place. We really enjoy dining here and have become regular customers. It truly is a wonderful spot.

It was OK for a pit stop. I like the atmosphere of the place but doubtful I'll buy food again if I stop by ever again. Waitress was too busy talking to check in on my table or would ignore my table when walking pass. No drink refills at any time, drink was empty entirety of meal.Wrong soup, waitress ignored me trying to get her attention until the prime rib was brought out and then noticed. Prime rib was good/medium rare around the edges but uncooked/Bleu/barely above fridge temps in the middle. There were probably 20 cloves of garlic which drowned out the meat. The 15oz prime rib had maybe about 9 ounces of meat it was composed of if you took out the cloves of garlic. The mashed potatoes were probably 30% mashed potatoes and 70% sour cream slapped on top, which was kinda gross. I think I would have had a better meal if I grabbed fast food to be honest. Not really worth what I spent or the drive.
