Lifesource Natural Foods - Salem

This restaurant offers the largest variety of vegan products that I have found in any Salem food store. The deli has many delicious options for snacks and meals. In addition to brand products, they also offer several homemade vegan deli options, including fantastic ranch dressing, pizza, baked goods, wraps, and salads (such as kartoffelsalat). The best part is that they will soon expand into the old Party City space, allowing for an even larger selection!

LifeSource is a terrific resource for Salem. It's recent renovation and expansion have provided a light and pleasant dinig area. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a wide variety of foods available. Good produce section. Large selection of supplements and such (may be pro or con depending on your point of view.

I like this store for their amazing variety of bulk items, but it's unfortunate that they are the only store in Salem that doesn't allow customers to wear face shields. Unfortunately, past trauma makes it difficult for me to have anything tightly covering my nose, mouth, or eyes. I still shop here, but my anxiety kicks in after only grabbing a few items. I also tried placing an online order, but there is never a same-day option available.

I absolutely love Lifesource for so many reasons. The staff is always genuinely friendly and helpful. The produce staff have even shared interesting facts about new and unique produce items with me. The check out process is quick and the staff are attentive and enjoyable to talk to. The deli options are perfect for grab and go lunches or picnics. My favorite is the northwest kale salad mixed with their house made ginger peanut tofu - delicious! Even their housemade vegan ranch dressing is amazing - I recommend it to everyone. Lifesource also has an impressive beer selection that is always changing, and their wine selection is expanding. I hope to see more locally made natural wines in the future. They offer a great variety of organic produce, including seasonal wild mushrooms and exotic fruits. Lifesource caters well to vegetarians, vegans, and those on dairy free diets. The only area for improvement is the bread selection since Silver Falls Bakery stopped delivering. Overall, Lifesource is a standout grocery store in Salem, offering a unique selection, friendly staff, and new experiences every time you visit.
