Bidrage med feedbackI am delighted that we found this restaurant by chance. The mushroom appetizer was truly amazing and one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. The gnocchi was tasty, although not as exceptional as the appetizer. The desserts were also excellent. This was one of the best fine dining experiences I've had and I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It's a hidden gem in the area. The tataki kingfish entree was absolutely spectacular. It's rare to find such high-quality food in Gippsland. The sesame crumbed kingfish with wasabi mayo, soy pearls, and pickles was delicious. For mains, I had the 20-hour cooked lamb rump. While the lamb was a bit tough from the long cook time, it was still a tasty dish, though slightly on the salty side.
The food at this restaurant was delicious from start to finish. The garlic bread was crispy and flavorful, and the portion size was perfect for sharing between two people without feeling overly full. The barramundi main dish was fantastic, with a sauce and seafood that complemented it perfectly. It was easily the best fish I have ever tasted. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and had an amazing texture and taste, especially when paired with the delicious puree it was served with. The chocolate panna cotta for dessert was a great way to end the meal, as it was not too large or heavy after a filling main course. The only downside was the expensive cost of $133 for two people. Despite this, the food was some of the best I have ever had and would be perfect for a special night out, as long as you budget accordingly.
Would come back here again if in Sale. Lovely cosy restaurant.. went there on a Tuesday night and was packed by 7.30pm. Enjoyed the pavlova the most! Not too sweet, and the icy berry was a perfect balance for the crunch in the pavlova. The Market Fish is also fresh and well cooked, and the prawn bisque over the fish was really delicious. Well done Oneills!
Amazing ambience as though dinning in a comfy home. The place was surprisingly really packed for a small town like Sale! And more surprisingly was that the entrees, mains and dessert were competitive head-to-head with restaurants like these in Melbourne CBD. <br/ <br/ We had the Smoked Kangaroo fillet with beetroot and homemade cream for the entree. The flavours were carefully planned to balance the gamey flavour of the roo. We also had a Charcuterie Board filled with pate, dried yet succulent raisins, mild blue cheese, quince, home smoked chorizo, prosciutto and crispy bread. It was a beautifully laid out board! <br/ <br/ For my mains I had the duck breast and leg with cherry sauce. AmaZing. The breast of duck cooked to a tender medium-done perfection! I really enjoyed it. My friends' barramundi and roasted chicken were great as well. <br/ <br/ For dessert which I have attached a photo, wow. Never tasted pavlova and meringue this balanced and textured. It wasn't very sweet, and it was a little sticky like a melted marshmallow. Do give this one a try when you're in Sale! Make a booking as they get quite packed towards 7pm. <br/ <br/ The staff were really friendly, they allowed us to bring my little Furchild into the restaurant in a crate so she didn't have to sit alone outside the house in the yard <br/ <br/ I'd like to return soon for another dinner when I'm in Sale again. Thanks Oneills!
