Bidrage med feedbackWe were looking forward to revisiting Panache Mobile, but were shocked to discover they had relocated to the other side of the island. The stunning view was always a key aspect of our dining experience in the past. The new location is now a simple picnic pavilion in a wooded area near the river. Our favorite dishes didn't quite have the same impact in this new setting. It seems that ambiance truly does play a significant role, even for a food truck. Unfortunately, we won't be returning and we have doubts about their ability to thrive in this new location.
The food in Quebec is fantastic and can compete with Paris on equal grounds. The restaurant's venue is stunning and the staff, ambiance, decor, and attention to detail are all impeccable. The attentive wait staff went above and beyond to fulfill all our requests. Although lunch was served at a leisurely pace, it only enhanced the wine pairings. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves gourmet cuisine that is prepared to perfection.
We waited a long time for lunch, but the view was really nice. The food was good, but it was way too expensive for what we received. Out of the wines we tried, only one stood out as good.
We had lunch at Vignoble Sainte Pétronille while exploring Ile d'Orléans on a recent trip to Québec. The main reason for our visit was to have lunch at the winery. The food truck there (Panache Mobile) prepared delicious food including tasty lobster rolls (similar to those found in the Maritime provinces) with large chunks of lobster on a sliced hot dog bun. The poutine (e.g. with duck) was good also. We sat on the large, covered outdoor patio overlooking the vineyards with a view of Montmorency falls in the distance all very lovely!
We arrived around 1:15 pm. and the food area was full. We made a reservation for 5 and were told it would be 30 minutes but gave us a gadget that buzzed when the table was ready! Meanwhile there is a wine testing shop connected so the 30 minutes flew by while deciding which wine we could have with our lunch. Menus were available in this location as well. The Mobile is located in a vineyard and these were the wines they had to offer. Of course, you were welcome to buy to take home as well. We enjoyed a lobster roll, 1/2 french fries and 1/2 salad filling the plate for a tummy filling lunch. A walk down to the homestead helped work off this excellent meal enjoyed in these fantastic surroundings of rows of grapes waiting for fall picking.
