La pergola - Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron

The mussels were small and not good, but the chips were. My steak was very tough, but my son eat it all. I had his salmon which was overdone. My daughter in law had the hake which she said was good.the price was a bit high. All in all not worth it.

Stopped there on a whim on our way to somewhere else! We were very pleased with the €13.90 set menu which was excellent value. The roast mackerel was very tasty and included in the price was a small carafe of wine! Definitively worth stopping!

What an excellent meal this was. Starter of scallops with mushrooms, followed by hake in a coconut curry sauce with vegetables, lentils and rice. Both absolutely delicious. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was full of locals, always a good indicator. Service by staff was attentive and polite.
