Bidrage med feedbackI used to like the old Uncle Andy's, which had seating, reasonable prices, and good flavors of ice cream. Now you have fewer selection and no seating. Smoothie I tried was TERRIBLE. It was mango protein smoothie with lot of fruits in description, butwhen I saw them make it, it was a POWEDERED mix. They just added tap water!! (Coconut milk that it was supposed to have was evenin the powder. And, it was $12 for a small cup! This makes me not want to eat anything at Don Cesar.
The old location was under renovations, however, they never moved the ice cream parlor back. The new location is small with no seating and lacks the charm that the old location had. There is no reason to visit now. Please return this beloved ice creamparlor to it's original location.
Let me start off by saying that my husband and I are ice cream connoisseurs. Uncle Andy?s had such great ice cream in such a fun atmosphere that we just had to come back almost once a day during our stay! This place is such a hidden gem in The Don andcannot be missed while you are visiting! Also, the staff are so lighthearted and funny! They just add to the already funexperience.
This place used to be Uncle Andy?s Old Fashioned Ice Cream. It was incredibly charming, had maybe 15 handmade ice cream flavors, and was just a happy place to be. Now, they?ve moved it closer to the pool, turned half of it into a convenience store, and cutit down to the eight standard flavors (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, etc). I drove halfway across the state just to get theirSuperman flavor that they had for as long as I can remember. The half convenience store, half ice cream shop just isn?t the sameas what it used to be.
The kids had a night of ice. Adults enjoyed coffee in the morning. The staff was pleasant and attentive. It's cashless. They also have alcohol, snacks and some non-edible things like travel coffee cups.
